JW Nutrition

Meet the Argyle Business Association's Business Spotlight for the month of August - Janna Weaver Nutrition. Get to know more about the business in the Q&A we had with owner Janna Weaver!

How long has your business been open?

I started this nutrition private practice as a solo provider at the end of 2019. At the beginning of 2022, I added two additional registered dietitians. The three of us see clients virtually or in-person at our Argyle office.

What led you to open your business?

Since I was young, I have always had a passion for nutrition. In 2004, I earned a pre-med bachelor of science degree and became a registered dietitian nutritionist. For many years I worked with weight management and corporate wellness programs but always dreamed of being able to help people on a more individual level. Now after 15 + years of experience and walking through my own health journey I’ve established Janna Weaver Nutrition & Wellness to help individuals make lasting change. By sitting down with clients one-on-one I get to build customized nutrition plans and help individuals really take action to improve their weight, health and achieve personal goals.

What is your favorite part about working/living in Argyle?

I have a lot of Argyle favorites! Most of all I love all the relationships I’ve made while both living and working here. It’s so fun that our worlds connect, and I get to do life with friends – we workout together, we go to church together, we cheer on the Eagles together and we support each other in life and business. I’m so thankful for the small-town feel, local businesses, and our amazing schools and neighborhoods.

What is an interesting fact about your business?

As registered dietitians we are recognized as the experts in our field and can be credentialed with insurance carriers. In my practice we have obtained this credentialing and accept major brands such as: BlueCross BlueShield, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Aetna, and Medicare. Most insurance plans consider nutrition counseling to be a preventative service and cover at 100% with no client responsibility. We assist clients with verifying insurance benefits to determine service coverage prior to their initial session. For self-pay clients we offer a discounted cash rate as well.

postnet

Meet the Argyle Business Association's Business Spotlight for the month of June - PostNet. Get to know more about the business in the Q&A we had with owner Gary Good!

How long has PostNet been located in Northlake?

We opened PostNet Northlake on August 16, 2021

Why was the location in Northlake chosen?

The Town of Northlake and its developer, Office Equity Solutions, approached me at my Flower Mound location. Northlake leadership wanted to provide shipping and mailing services for its citizens. After looking at the area and meeting its people, I made the decision to build the store. AND …. Magda and I built a home in Pecan Square. So, we are residents and business owners.

What does your business offer to residents/other business owners?

We Design | Print | Send | Etc. What does that mean? We provide mailing and shipping services through all four major carriers, FEDEX, UPS, DHL, & the USPS. Beyond shipping services, we also have an in-house graphic designer and print everything from business cards, to flyers, to posters, to yard signs … and so much more. Inside our store, we have private mailboxes, so citizens and businesses that want to have a secure and professional mailing address that accepts mail and packages, can do so right here. Finally, we provide a multitude of business and personal services, such as notary, faxing, scan to email, and shredding.

What is an interesting fact about your business?

Gary, after living behind more than 70 doors, has chosen Northlake to build PostNet and our home.

Liberty Christian School

LCS Facade 16x9[1]Meet the Argyle Business Association's Business Spotlight for the month of April - Liberty Christian School. Get to know more about the local private school in the Q&A below!

How long has Liberty Christian been in Argyle?

Liberty Christian School moved from Denton to Argyle in 2005.

Why did Liberty Christian choose to open in Argyle?

The location of Argyle serves our community well as many families can easily travel from surrounding areas allowing them access to a private Christian education. The land for our current building was generously donated allowing for the growth of our campus. Previously located in Denton, we were growing out of our space that consisted of multiple buildings. We now enjoy a 93-acre campus that educates 1,100 students from Preschool to Upper School. In 2016, we opened our new two-story Upper School wing allowing our Middle School students to move into the previously used space. Our campus also allows us to host many athletic events at our facilities that includes multiple gyms, a stadium and track, and the Integrity Park field complex.

How does Liberty Christian contribute to economic development in Argyle?

With the influx of many families to our state and the DFW area, Liberty Christian School offers an additional education option for families seeking a private Christian education that focuses on a Biblical worldview. These families often build or purchase homes in the beautiful development landscapes that Argyle offers and become involved residents. In addition, Liberty is a commuter school and many of these families frequent the businesses located in Argyle. We value the partnership we have with the town of Argyle and our share in the supportive community that exists here.

What is an interesting fact about Liberty Christian?

Liberty Christian School was founded in 1983 and looks forward to celebrating its 40th anniversary in the 2023-2024 school year. Liberty Christian School competes in academic, athletic, and fine arts contests through the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) District 6A and has won the best overall private school in Texas 12 times by TAPPS, including 11 of the last 17 years.
