Welcome to 2025!Your Town Hall Team was busy in January! Though the weeks were shorter, the new year brought renewed excitement about this year's exciting events in our community. January greeted new businesses to town, Argyle's students continue winning state titles, and we kicked off the election period for May's General Election. Winter Storm Cora snapped up too much of January! Huge thanks to our Public Works Department who stayed on call 24/7 during the storm. The Denton County Office of Emergency Management communication & support was spectacular. Last but certainly not least - huge thanks to our First Responders with Denton County ESD 1, Argyle Police Department and our Denton County Sheriffs. We are grateful to you all! The Town Hall Team is growing along with our burgeoning community. Three positions in Town Hall are currently open and another in the Police Department. Several Argyle and area businesses have openings as well. Are you an Argyle business with job openings? Let us know to be posted in the new JOBS section. Thank you for a great January, Argyle!

In Public Works news....Routine Maintenance: Public Works completed regular maintenance across the town, including work on streets, mowing, tree trimming, and repairing or replacing damaged signage. Staff also carried out routine lift station maintenance, minor road repairs, and organized and cleaned the Public Works facility to improve efficiency. Equipment Preparedness: Several pieces of heavy equipment, vehicles, and essential items were repaired and returned to service. Street equipment and winter weather supplies were thoroughly inspected and prepared for winter weather needs. Staff Training: Four Public Works team members attended a two-day training course on Work Zone Traffic Control and Qualified Flagger. This training ensures our team can safely and effectively manage traffic in work zones, enhancing safety for both workers and the public during ongoing projects. Thank you for your continued support as we work to keep our community safe, functional, and well-maintained!
