How long has your business been serving Argyle?

The Cross Timbers Gazette was founded in 1979 and has been mailing to every Argyle home and business each month since at least 2002.

How does your business support Argyle businesses?

We offer local businesses many affordable ways to promote their services in print and online, and we support them through news articles and announcements in our publication.

What is an interesting fact about your business?

We began in 1979 as a newsletter called The Double Oak Gazette by a small group of determined volunteers to keep the town’s residents informed. It eventually became a one-woman operation. In 2002, the newspaper was renamed The Cross Timbers Gazette to reflect its growing circulation in Argyle and neighboring towns. I acquired the paper in 2006 and we are now the largest locally-owned newspaper in North Texas.

What would you like the residents of Argyle to know about your business?

We live here and take a vested interest in the well-being of our neighbors and local businesses. Our slogan is “Local Lives Here” and we try to live up to that every day with a hands-on approach to keeping our community informed and engaged.

The Business Spotlight for the month of October is Facial Aesthetics by Christy. Get to know Argyle's newest business in this month's Q&A!

How did your business get started?

I have been in nursing for over a decade and have been a aesthetic nurse injector here in the North Texas area for the past 8 years working for a large dermatology clinic in Flower Mound.  We have lived in Argyle since 2013 and have had all three of our daughters in the Argyle School District since then. I felt a calling to start my own practice and be able to work where I live and have the flexibility to manage my passion for aesthetics while supporting the busy schedules of our teenage children.  Thus, Facial Aesthetics by Christy was born.

What would you like the residents of Argyle to know about your business?

I am a very experienced RN Injector and have completed numerous and comprehensive trainings with some of the industry's top aesthetic providers. I bring a wealth of knowledge to my practice and provide each patient with a unique and individualized treatment plan that focuses on progressive and natural, age-defying results.

Why did you choose to locate in Argyle?

Argyle is where we chose to live and raise our family since 2013 and it has become the perfect location to launch my practice and serve the needs of this fast growing North Texas community.

What’s your favorite part of living and/or working in Argyle?

I love being 3 minutes from my home and having the opportunity to serve clients in a more personal way and have really appreciated the outpouring of support from the local businesses around me.

What is one interesting fact about your business?

FaC is the first letter of the words in my practice name, Facial Aesthetics by Christy.
