The Public Works Department maintains the streets, drainage, and wastewater systems for the Town. Some of the typical services provided by the Public Works Department include:

The Public Works is responsible for the maintenance of three Town owned or operated buildings, namely; Town Hall, Lift Station #2 Storage Facility and the Public Works Service Center, which is leased from Argyle Water Supply Corporation. In addition the Department responds to illegal or accidental dumping and other general maintenance along Town road and drainage rights-of-way.

In an effort to prevent neighborhood decline, and improve the quality of life in or community, your Town Council has passed Ordinances and procedures relating to the enforcement of various Town codes. The Code Enforcement Officer monitors code compliance and is authorized to pursue criminal and civil remedies to abate nuisances within Argyle for the purpose of maintaining a safe, sanitary and clean Town in accordance with the Town Codes. These codes include signage, high weeds and grass, junk or dilapidated vehicles, debris, and unsafe structures. It is the intent of Code Enforcement to work with the residents of Argyle and take proactive measures to remedy any and all violations of the zoning and development ordinances of the Town, including assisting with residential and commercial compliance efforts. As a result, property values are maintained and the Town retains its neat and clean appearance.

The Environmental Services Division is responsible for the Town's On-Site Sewage Facilities permitting, inspections and tracking of aerobic system maintenance contract renewals. Environmental Services also manages the Town's Annual spring cleanup day and household hazardous waste collection programs.
